01200	Dear Jean-Claude,
01300	.begin fill adjust
01400 I have been making plans for next year so I thought I would
01500	write to you about the possibility of doing some work for IRCAM. I
01600	plan to be in Paris about April 1, 1977 and remain there most of the
01700	time until September 1. During that time I would like very much to
01800	get my various programs running on your PDP10 and perhaps give a
01900	series of seminars on their use.
02000
02100 The form of the SCORE program has stabilized. There have
02200	been only a few very small changes in the past year and the program
02300	gets constant use. The same is true of FUNC (the stored-function
02400	library program.) However the music printing program is still
02500	expanding. I am continually amazed at the complexity and detail of
02600	musical notation. Several of my students are now using this program
02700	now to print their own compositions and to make up examples for
02800	doctoral dissertations.
02900
03000 Our new KL-10 has been here now for a few weeks but it is not
03100	yet hooked up to our main system. The 'Samson box' has been ordered
03200	and should be delivered sometime in the summer, I believe. With all
03300	these constant changes we are kept very busy.
03400
03500 I hope the progress on your system is going well. I suppose
03600	you have your DAC by now. Meanwhile if there is any way I might help
03700	you from this great distance don't hesitate to ask.
